Milton Keynes Car Park
This project involved a series of railings designed to fully clad a multi storey steel framed car park commissioned by Quartet Architects. With such an expanse of railings, three different designs were utilised to improve the aesthetic look of the façade at different levels. 3D wave effect panels were used for the lower levels.
The middle sections had taller panels with a simple crushed line running through them, this created a soft waving profile that was visible from miles around the car park. The wave pattern utilised in the top floor railings was visible in both plan and elevation. Lettering panels were also used to designate the temporarily elevated areas.
The overall effect was to soften a very large steel structure in an organic way to produce an aesthetically pleasing landmark.
